Jeff and Jordan are super cute together. They had been looking forward to their perfect day for over a year - every detail well planned out so the two of them would just be able to enjoy their wedding day. They had a large bridal party, full of people ready to party and celebrate. After a traditional Catholic Ceremony at Saint Patrick's in Brighton, Michigan, the party bus took everyone to Kensington Metro Park for our group photos on the dock and by the water. The celebration continued at Laurel Manor, in Livonia, where the fabulously decorated room was full of guests celebrating the happy couple. Congratulations Jeff and Jordan!
Rachel and Nicholas exchanged vows in a gorgeous backyard wedding in Lapeer, Michigan. Located in a friends gorgeously manicured yard, their friends and family came and witnessed an exchange of love under the willow tree, and in front of a beautiful hand-made altar. Rachel wore an exquisite gown, buttons lined her back and intricate lace draped on her shoulders and sleeves. The reception was an amazing celebration - lights made the tent wedding feel like a reception hall, handmade decorations of wood and rose gold created the centerpieces. The dance floor was full of friends from the start of the night, and stayed packed well into the evening, with everyone showing off their best moves. And to top off the evening, a handmade pizza food trailer served hungry guests at the end of the evening.
Elizabeth and Dustin said their vows to each other in an intimate and beautiful ceremony in the Diego Rivera room at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Elizabeth's beautiful satin gown, worn by her grandmother on her wedding day, was accompanied with bright red lipstick and shoes and matched by the veil from her mother's wedding. Dustin matched, with his red and yellow boutonnière. Their bridal party was full of fun the entire weekend, lodging close by at the Inn on Ferry Street and helping to create some amazing portraits on the front steps of the museum.
Dale and Natalie say 'I do' at Seven Lakes State Park and Celebrate at Redwood Steakhouse and Brewery
Natalie and Dale said 'I do' in front of family and friends overlooking Seven Lakes State Park. The two were so happy to commit their lives to each other, their joy was written all over their faces. Their intimate reception followed in a private room decorated with hops at Redwood Steakhouse Lodge and Brewery, where their guests devoured their custom made beer cupcakes and the delicious food.
Katie and Dennis wed at the Lazy J ranch in Highland, Michigan in a touching ceremony in front of family and friends. It was so touching - before the bride walked down the aisle, the groom and his son, also his best man, shared a touching moment. There wasn't a dry eye in the entire cornfield. Both barns at the ranch were decorated beautifully with bales of hay and fun signs and there was tons of space for the guests to spread out and enjoy themselves, both inside and outdoors. The groom's son Gavin stole the show with his loving speech, bringing everyone to tears once again. Everyone had fun as the night wore on, dancing to the tunes spun by DJ Tweezy, enjoying the candy bar, and chasing each other with glow sticks.
I just adore being a part of a celebration of love. When the couples I photograph really care about each other on a soul level, it shows and comes through in the photos. And these two certainly do care about each other - Catherine and Elliot were married in Saint John's Episcopal Church in Fenton, Michigan. Following the ceremony, family and friends joined the newlyweds at the Vale Royal Barn. The sun was beautiful, the temperature mild, and guests could leisurely stroll the grounds, play games, relax and visit before getting on the dance floor and letting loose as evening approached. Many merry smiles abounded as the happy families celebrated together. Thanks for the honor of inviting me to capture your day!
